Music Theory Lessons

Go beyond memorizing the rules.

Music theory can sometimes feel intimidating. My goal is to make it approachable and enjoyable, while helping students see how the concepts they are learning connect to the music they hear, study, and play.

I offer private music theory instruction both in-person and online, including:

  • Basic Knowledge & Preparatory Music Theory

  • RCM Levels 5 - 8 Theory & Exam Prep

  • RCM Levels 9 - ARCT Harmony & Exam Prep

  • RCM Levels 9 - ARCT History & Exam Prep

Theory lessons can be taken independently or alongside piano instruction. Lessons are available in 60- or 90-minute sessions, depending on the student’s level and goals.
